A clap from a champ

Selfish Batter today enjoyed a net with two Aussies who were passing through town. Sadly, they will not be available to face Actors Anonymous next weekend.

Please humour me by clicking on the second photo and playing spot the ball.

I've been asked to explain how BL and AG managed to get a net with Selfish.

They too were invited to an event hosted by Travelex at which the company invited its guests to meet and train with its four 'brand ambassadors'. The other two were a super nice rugby player and a super brat tennis player.

One of Selfish's mates (Dev, who played for CCC once) does a lot of business with Travelex and, quite marvelously, was allowed to bring along a couple of guests.

Selfish. I know some of the bowling you face at our level does not always represent the most stretching of challenges for a batter of your talents, but netting with Brett Lee?

And then hitting him for four?

Judging from the blond's expression, you really pissed him off.

Which means I can only assume you've been writing this blog from your hospital bed. But then you must have been nursing a head injury to agree to the net in the first place.

Get well soon.

Fear not Lurpak, no injuries were sustained. You just have to show a bit of confidence when dealing with these people. You're an observant chap so I assume you noticed that, whilst I always opt for full body armour against the likes of Actors Anonymous and BCK, I didn't bother with a lid against Lee.

I assumed he'd knocked it off with a 95mph fringe trimmer...

How did Devski get on? Is he still alive?

Devski played his trademark 6 over the slips against both of them
